About

Michelin-starred chef Eduard Frauneder co-helms NYC's beloved Austrian tavern Edi & The Wolf, Austrian Bistro Freud, recently opened Schilling in the Financial District and Viennese-inspired cocktail bar The Third Man, and is chef of the German House at the United Nations.

Restaurants

Edi & The Wolf is our beloved Austrian tavern in NYC's East Village. Inspired by the traditional heurigen--or wine taverns--outside Vienna, Edi & the Wolf offers a contemporary take on rustic Austrian fare. 

Freud evokes a turn-of-the-century brasserie from chef Frauneder's native Vienna, offering breakfast, lunch and dinner in the heart of Greenwich Village with a menu that features his contemporary take on Austrian classics with a French twist. 

Schilling is Frauneder's newest restaurant, located in NYC's Financial District. With a name that nods to the surrounding neighborhood and the former Austrian currency, Schilling offers a day-to-night bistro that features chef Frauneder's contemporary take on Austrian classics with a Mediterranean touch.

The Third Man is our Viennese-inspired cocktail bar in NYC's East Village, serving chef-driven, creative takes on classic cocktails as well as a Central European-focused list of beer and wine. Located a block from Edi & the Wolf, The Third Man offers diners a cozy destination to imbibe before or following their meal.
